2011 ANNUAL REUNION LUNCHEON

The 2010 annual reunion luncheon, held on May 27 at The Club at McGinnis Park, was attended by about 60 members and their guests.

Social Committee Member Julie Pizzo and Chair Ann Marie Melanephy welcome members and their guests.

We were honored by the attendance of several members of the California Grand Jurors Association Board of Directors. Here Karin Hern greets CGJA Director Beato Bouldinghouse from the San Francisco chapter.

Dan Mufson, Vice President, CGJA, discussed the various activities of the CGJA. An update on the status of AB622, Assemblyman Dickinson's bill to require public hearings of civil grand jury interviews under certain circumstances.

Judge Faye D’Opal praises the Association for the participation of its members in various Marin County Court studies.

Our guest speaker, Ms. Mary McEachron, the CAO and General Counsel of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging. Ms. McEachron discussed the latest scientific research occurring at the Buck in areas including stroke, Alzheimer's Disease and Parkinson's Disease. She also informed us of current organizational features of the Buck including construction, housing, budgets, grants and their employee base. There was be ample time for questions and answers.
