EXCELLENCE IN REPORTING AWARDED TO MARIN INDEPENDENT JOURNAL

Our parent organization, the California Grand Jury Association, has awarded their annual Excellence In Reporting Award to the Marin Independent Journal for its reporting of Marin Grand Jury matters.

This award was recommended by Val Garfield, a past member of two Marin Grand Juries and a member of the current Grand Jury, and was presented by Marin County Supervisor Susan Adams and Betty Mattea, a member of both the Marin County Grand Jury Association and a member of the Board of Directors of our parent organization.

Receiving the award for the Marin Independent Journal was Robert Sterling, IJ City Editor, who in his acceptance remarks emphasized that the IJ considers the Civil Grand Jury to be very important.
